Listen! Atoms for Peace – What The Eyeballs Did

Only one thing could shake my post-Halloween hangover – something from the man called Thom Yorke. And fuck, wouldn’t you know it – someone listened! Thom’s Atoms for Peace outfit, complete with the bassist machine that is Flea, as well as Nigel Godrich and Joey Waronker from Ultraista, have given us a new song with a Halloween-appropriate title – What The Eyeballs Did. I’m guessing they were devoured.

After the excellent track, Default, we get to hear the B-side to the November 19 single. What The Eyeballs Did features some horns, that fit in really well with the skitterish electorica beat. Haunting horns, let’s say. There’s also a nice time shift at the end, where Flea wrecks some havoc on the bass. How is this a B-Side? It should’ve been a double A-side!
