Listen! Ibeyi – Mama Says

Twin sisters (a phrase I like leading off as many sentences with as possible) Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz are known musically as Ibeyi. The 19 year old French-Cuban sisters dropped one of the more clever music videos for their song River. They follow that up with the sounds of Mama Says.

The track is a low-key, sparse, piano-led track. The lyrics are also a touch depressing. So yeah, there’s your lead in to this track. It’s a nice song though, so dive in below.
