Days of Abandon is the new album from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. The band dropped BLAH already from this album. Now we get a video for Until the Sun Explodes, which is when many girls tell me they will go on a date with me. Well guess what, I’m pumping CO2 into the atmosphere to make that a reality, baby.

Foo Fighters album news: As Dave Grohl is hosting an HBO series this fall, the band are timing the release of their new album to align with this. Smart, boys. The show is based around various cities shaped different artists. Since the band recorded in different cities and studios, a cynic might say this ties in a little too perfectly. (via Exclaim)
Oscar nominee Seth McFarlane (which sounds like a weird statement) of Family Guy fame is writing a Christmas album. He already has one (jazz) album under his belt, and an Oscar nod for Best Original Song for co-writing “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” from his movie, Ted. But Christmas songs – really?? Celebrity lookalikes Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith are having a drum battle on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The battle will take place May 22, and hopefully will not be lame. (via Gigwise)
