Watch! Daughter – Shallows (Live @ Air Studios)

Daughter haven’t come out with any new material since we saw them at Osheaga, and in Toronto (when we interviewed them). However, the band are about to drop a digital EP on April 15. It’s a live recording from London’s Air Studios, and is a collaboration with composer Joe Duddell and a 10-piece classical ensemble. Works for me!

The first video from the session is Shallows. It’s 7 and a half minutes of things you love (minus gratuitous shots of kittens playing with yarn). Strings and Daughter are a good mix. Check out the video below, and catch Daughter opening for the National at Massey Hall in Toronto tonight, tomorrow, and Friday night – it will be worth it to get there early.
