Morning Music Notes – Not So Super Bowl
This track veers into a poppier area than I typically like to listen to and post. However, since I posted her great debut track, Cold Front, I thought I’d follow it up with another track from Laura Welsh.
Undiscovered is her second single, and she’ll be opening for London Grammar on their upcoming November tour. Look out for Laura Welsh’s debut album out in early 2014. Check out the poppy, electronica track Undiscovered below.

Bruno Mars is apparently headlining the Super Bowl. Wait, didn’t football just start yesterday?! Super Bowl XLVIII will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 and I will be doing something else at halftime – likely running from my bookie (via Consequence of Sound)
Return of the holograms! Bone Thugs-N-Harmony brought Eazy-E ‘back to life’ with a performance based hologram at Rock the Bells over the weekend. September 7th would’ve been Eazy-E’s 50th birthday. Read the band talk about the rehearsals and performance (via Billboard)
It’s finally happening – during another crazy Twitter episode, Azealia Banks casually noted that her album Broke with Expensive Taste will be out in January (via Pigeons and Planes)

Remember the insanely bizarre yet awesome video we posted about The Fox by Norwegian band Ylvis? Turns out they are late night talk show hosts. Check out the Billboard interview with the guys (via Billboard). Bonus: Watch Canadian band Said The Whale’s take on the song, which was recorded mere days after the original video went viral. The band notes ” We drank some beers, recorded the song from scratch, and changed a few words so that the song was about “what the whale said”. Some would call this a “cover version”, others might call it an “adaptation”.”
