We jest – of course. This is an exquisite piece of of electronic music from Ninja Tune artist Machine Drum – aka Travis Stewart. His musical influences include the lap steel, the djembe, the drumline, and the rock band and his CV includes writing/production for Azealia Bank’s debut album and the film The Black Swan; which is to say that Machine Drum is not a typical producer of beats, and this is not a typical dance track.
