This is Week 47 of the PeteHatesMusic Tuesday Trivia, which means we’ve almost hit as many weeks as Taylor Swift has ex-boyfriends. I think she might win out long-term.

We formed in 2007, and have released 2 albums, with our most recent one being last year (2011, in case you don’t know what year it is due to recent alien abductions – trust me, we’ve all been there).

Our 2009 debut album took 28 weeks of being in the UK charts to finally crack the number 1 spot. It was one of the best selling albums in both 2009 and 2010 in the UK.

We were sued by Gang Gang Dance for using the melody and a lyric from their song, House Jam. The band sued us, and Island Records acknowledged the infringement and paid Gang Gang Dance, despite our singer noting that she was trying to pay homage. The lyric in question was “How quickly the glamour fades”
