Watch! M83 – Steve McQueen

M83 have been pretty quiet of late, besides being an answer for one of our Tuesday Trivia questions. The band wanted a new video for a song from last year’s double album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, but they wanted to be lazy about it. Enter the ‘fan contest‘, the ultimate form of not making a video.

The winner directors, French directors Balthazar Auxietre & Sylvain Derosne, received £3,000 ($5,000) and have the official video for Steve McQueen by M83.

Thankfully, the video doesn’t feature a lazy Steve McQueen montage. Instead, we get a boy and some stoppimation stop motion animal of toy animals. Dinosaurs will win you every video contest ever – fact. Check out the winning video below.
