Morning Music Notes – You Gotta See the Baby
Adele Has Baby Boy, Gets Taunted on Twitter
When I read Adele had a baby, I wasn’t planning on writing about it. It’s a boy, by the way. But since the story took a cruel social media turn, I’ll feature it. Once it was known that she was a new parent, people started posting mean comments on her Facebook and Twitter pages, including “Aw Adele gave birth to a baby. Is it fat and handicapped lol? Just murder it already lol” (via Telegraph). Great logic there, anonymous commenter!
As we’ve shown many times before on this blog, it’s easy to get caught by posting stupid things on Facebook or Twitter, so hopefully these idiots will get caught and some kind of sentencing to realize how dumb they truly are.
Jay-Z and Beyonce Fail in Bid to Trademark Daughter’s Name
More Baby News! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS BLOG?! Jay-Z and Beyonce have tried to copyright the name of their daughter, Blue Ivy, who may or may not be named after the devil. And they failed because of a party planning company in Boston (via Gigwise).
The Boston company is called Blue Ivy Events, and has been around since the day Blue Ivy was born 2009. Here’s a thought for you millionaires – buy the company! Jay-Z and Beyonce were planning on starting a clothing line with the Blue Ivy name. Here’s where “research” might have come in handy before naming the baby.
Liam Gallagher Wants to Make Music for 30 More Years
Bad news for those of you who have actually heard the Beady Eye album – singer Liam Gallagher wants to make music for another 30 years (via Gigwise). Inspired by those old geezers that are the Rolling Stones, Liam said “The Stones are bad boys. As long as you look cool, have a good pair of jeans and a good head of hair then crack on with it, man. That’s what i’ll do.”
Yup, that’s what longevity is all about – jeans, hair, and looking cool.
Canadian Man in Honduras Murdered for His iPhone
Shortly after the Canadian men’s soccer team crashed out of World Cup qualifying in Honduras, I had heard that a Canadian was killed in Honduras. The events weren’t linked at all, but details of the sad story (which we’re full of today) have emerged. The man, 34 year old Tim Vallee, was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday and then shot in the head, all for his iPhone (via iPhone in Canada).
The victim was approached when leaving a bar around 1 am on Roatan in Honduras. The CRTC in Canada have been telling phone carriers to set up a registration for phones to stop “iCrime”, which shows even crime is getting the lame “i” naming treatment.
Watch! Wild Belle – Backslider
This is one of those videos that I had been meaning to post last week but it just didn’t happen (like my alien abductions, where I swear are real). Chicago’s Wild Belle have a new track called Backslider. The song is part of their new single, while their new album, Ises, is out in early 2013. Or so they say.
