Listen! Local Natives – Breakers

Good news for fans of Local Natives (insert insensitive racist comment or complimentary fact here). The Silver Lake, Los Angeles band will release their second album into the wild on January 29, 2013 (via Twenty Four Bit). The band have returned with a fantastic new tune off of forthcoming album, Hummingbird.

The track is called Breakers, and features the kind of background cooing that I could listen to all day. Sort of like Sufjan Stevens’ coos in The National’s Afraid of Everyone. The song’s verses are pretty sparse, but man, that chorus! Make your ears happy and check it out below.
