Watch! Grimes – Genesis

One of the standout albums of 2012 is Visions by Grimes. The Montreal artist has a self-directed video for her song, Genesis. And Grimes (aka Claire Boucher) appears to have some talent as a director, too. Everyone loves swords, snakes, and oddly revealing outfits on women!

The video starts off in a desert near sun down, before shifting to a rocky beach, with some slow motion dancing with a sword, naturally. There are definitely some interesting costumes and hair styles at play, so you can thank Grimes for your future Halloween costume. It also looks like Grimes borrowed the snake from Britney Spears’ MTV Awards performance from way back when, too. Check it all out below.
