Boy George Covering Lana Del Rey’s Video Games is Not The Disaster You’d Anticipate

When a song hits critical mass, it gets the cover treatment by everyone. Lana Del Rey’s uber-hit, Video Games, is still getting covered by people, but not quite the people you’d think. After hearing covers by Kasabian, Bombay Bicycle Club, and the Arkells, we have a new artist doing a cover – Boy George.

Yes, Boy George is still making music (when not in jail and doing community service). Not only is it a cover, but it gets a full-on video treatment, which shows a guy and a girl making out and having fun (and both at the same time, presumably). The song isn’t terrible, and features a twangy, almost country-like sound at times. That’s always a reassuring review term – “isn’t terrible”.
