Adele Breaks U.S. Chart Record Held By the Beatles and Pink Floyd

Did anyone think that Adele’s second album, 21, would do what it has done? Having men reaching for the mute in record time Did anyone think it would keep doing what it is doing? Her album has now been at the top of the Billboard charts for 16 weeks (via Gigwise). The previous record by a Brit was held by both Pink Floyd for The Wall and the Beatles for Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Next week will mark the first year of the album’s release.
