Hockey Star Alex Ovechkin Features in Russian Rap Song, Champion
In Canada (and dare I say, North America), Alex Ovechkin is known as a Russian hockey stud. Winner of back to back MVP awards in the NHL, scoring ridiculous, ridiculous goals, and laying down heavy hits, he can do it all (note: except win the Stanley Cup). Warning: horrible segue alert: The latest thing that he is laying down is heavy raps (told you it was bad!). Alex Ovechkin shows up in the video from Russian rapper Sasha Belyi’s Champion song (via Puck Daddy).
So, does Alex the Great rap about slinging rocks and hanging with bitches? Er, not quite. Via Russian Machine Never Breaks, we have a translation of his rap verse, JUST in case you don’t speak Russia.

[And then a bizarre sound that sounds like the English words “Look out!”]
Give the video a watch below. Alex chimes in around 2:55.
