Sadly, LCD Soundsystem decided to call it quits after releasing their third album. James Murphy never intended it to become this huge thing, and while he had critical success and hadn’t become TOO famous, he thought he should get out. They played an epic final show last April at Madison Square Gardens (which is in New York if you are unaware). There is a new documentary, Shut Up and Play the Hits, that is premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. The film highlights the days leading up to that final show (spoiler alert: Daft Punk is not really playing at their house). Watch a preview below.
