Radiohead to Play Two Shows in NYC, Thom Just Did a Solo Show

Any day in which there is Radiohead news is a good day, unless that news is “Radiohead dies in horrific bus crash”. To compliment the other Radiohead news of the day, PHM has two more nuggets for you.

Thom Yorke just played a surprise solo show in Cornwall…England, not Ontario Canada (via NME). It was a secret set in front of a small crowd at the Crackington Haven as part of the European Fish Fry festival. I don’t know what that is, but I’m guessing Thom was the ‘catch of the day’.

In other exciting, non Fish Fry, related news – Radiohead are playing two nights in New York City. Two nights that aren’t Saturday Night Live or the Colbert Report. The Oxford outfit will be playing at the Roseland Ballroom on September 28th and 29th (via Consequence of Sound). In what seems to be a anti-scalping technique, “tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. ET on September 26th via Ticketmaster. There is a two ticket limit per household. All tickets will be available for pick up at will call the evening of the event beginning at 6:30 p.m. and entry into the venue is required immediately upon receipt. No tickets shall be distributed prior to the event.”

Note to Radiohead: Toronto is very close to New York City. Hope to see you soon. Love, Pete.
