New Album from Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke
Bloc Party started with such a promising career. Their debut album, Silent Alarm, rates as one of my favourite debut albums ever. Next came A Weekend in the City, which was so-so. Intimacy was more of the same – the second album slump carried onto the third album. At this point, lead singer Kele Okereke went solo, and came out with last year’s album The Boxer. The electronia side project will continue, with the release of a 7-track album, The Hunter (via NME). The album is out on October 31 – Halloween (scary!) in the UK, and presumably the next day in North America.
“The lead track ‘What Did I Do?’, which debuted yesterday (September 12) sees Kele step away from the mic, giving lead vocal to singer Lucy Taylor. Other collaborators on the EP include Sub Focus, Fred Falke, RAC and QNESS.”
Tracklisting for The Hunter:
What Did I Do? feat Lucy Taylor
Release Me
Devotion
Goodbye Horses
Cable’s Goodbye
Love As A Weapon
You Belong To Someone Else
