If you’ve ever been to a surprise gig or event, you know the rush of anticipation and mystery that comes with it. When you’re at the gig, every moment is amplified. Every song is the ‘best live version of’ that the band has done. Every stage banter is the funniest piece of banter ever. This past Thursday, California’s Green Day played a semi-surprise show at the Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa, California. The band hasn’t released a new album since 2009, and they showed the surprise crowd that they are in fact working on material, playing a mind-blowing 15 new tracks (via Green Day Authority).
