Deluxe Edition of Metric’s Fantasies: Fantasies Flashbacks

Metric have been quiet of late….a little TOO quiet. Metric have secretly been gathering fan remixes in order to release a DELUXE EDITION of Fantasies (cue drama sound effect). Spinner reports that Metric is releasing a deluxe version of their 2009 hit album (Fantasies), which will be called Fantasies Flashbacks. Something about that double plural sounds odd to me.

“Thank you to everyone who sent in Fantasies Flashbacks submissions, I feel so very close to you all. Your submissions contradicted my fears. You weren’t afraid to be f—ing real!” wrote Haines on Metric’s website.

Making this release even more awesome is that all proceeds will go to Toronto’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Now stop doing nice things and get back in the studio, Metric! Fantasies Flashbacks will be release via limited-edition vinyl box set, which will be available on October 11.
