Listen! Lavender Diamond – Everybody’s Heart’s Breaking Now

Here’s some more music from the wonderful world of email. The band are Lavender Diamond, from Los Angeles, California, and they are about to release an album called Incorruptible Heart on October 8 in the UK. The four-piece band are following up their 2007 debut album. Now that we have the facts out of the way, I present you Everybody’s Heart’s Breaking Now. With a song AND album title both having “heart” in it, you can sort of guess how it might sound.

The song is a slow song, with soft vocals from singer Becky Stark. If you recognize the name, it’s either because you are confusing the Starks of Winterfell from The Game of Thrones, or because you know her from the Decemberists’ concept album, The Hazards of Love. Stark plays the character of Margaret and sings on the tracks “Won’t Want for Love (Margaret in the Taiga)”,”Isn’t It a Lovely Night?”, “The Abduction of Margaret”, and “The Hazards of Love 4 (The Drowned).” Hooray for Internet facts! Celebrate this information victory by checking out the song below.
