Listen! The Darcys – The River

The Darcys are one of those bands for me that we all have in our existence – we definitely know the name, but we don’t know much about them. I saw several announcements of their new song and their new album, and like bands that I know the name but don’t know the music, it registered just as ‘information gathered’. I felt compelled to listen to them today as I was making my way through the dozens of music submissions I have this morning, and was glad that I did – their new track is excellent.

So let’s start this again. The Darcys have a new album out called The River (and it’s not a cover of the Tea Party track). The song is lifted from their upcoming September 17 release, Warring. The track has a slower, dark tone to it, initially feeling a bit sparse, but adding pulsating and thumping parts throughout the song. Check out The River below and download it for free – what a treat!
