Watch! Laura Marling – The Forest of Arden

Laura Marling might have just announced her fourth album, Once I Was An Eagle, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have other projects in the works, right? I actually don’t know the answer to that question. The two time Mercury Prize nominee has provided the music for the William Shakespeare (heard of him?) play, As You Like It.

The film is directed by Maria Aberg and has music by Marling, with lyrics ripped off inspired from the play. The play will kick off in April at Stratford-upon-Avon and is put on by the Royal Shakespeare Company. For now, we have a track from Act II Scene V called The Forest of Arden. That is probably the most dorky sounding sentence one can write.
