Listen! Caspian – Halls of the Summer

Caspian were recommended to me several years ago by the same friend who got me hooked on instrumental artists like Tim Hecker, Explosions in the Sky, and Mono, so I figured it was a recommendation I could trust. After seeing them rock Rancho Relaxo in Toronto (yup, the Simpsons should be suing them), I was eagerly anticipating some new material. We will get said new material this fall, with the release of Waking Season on September 21, 2012.

We also get a new song from the Massachusetts band. You can download Halls of the Summer below and also listen to it by clicking on the link, and then on that triangle button, which symbolizes the Play button. Why does triangle mean play, anyway? Listen to the driving, yet dreamy instrumental rock song below while you ponder that.
