Listen! The Chemical Brothers – Theme From Velodrome

The 2012 London Summer Olympics are fast approaching and legendary UK electronic duo, The Chemical Brothers, have gone and created original music for the cycling venue, the Velodrome (via consequenceofsound.net). How f’n cool is that? I’m pretty sure the velodrome is that banked oval where they do the short-track speed cycling.

The new tune is called Theme From Velodrome and its slow/fast pace fits the velodrome perfectly. When I first heard the Chem Bros had a new track out called Theme From Velodrome, I literally thought Velodrome was the new James Bond movie coming out and that this was the new theme song. WRONG! Instead, it’s a dope track that is sure to get cyclists pumped up for London 2012. Have a listen, you won’t be disappointed.
