New Stereophonics Album Out in October

Welsh rock band Stereophonics have two new albums set to be released (via nme.com). A film by lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Kelly Jones is also on the way.

The first of the two albums is out this October. It doesn’t have a title yet. Can I suggest ‘Just Enough PeteHatesMusic to Perform’? Expect the second new album around 18 months later.

As for October’s album, from Jones himself: “We’ve had time to just go into our own studio and mess about, and it’s resulted in a bigger sounding style, very grand and filmic.” Ooooooh, sounding cool. Can’t wait boys! Don’t forget to stop by Toronto on tour. To wet your Stereophonics appetite, take a look at the video for Traffic, from the band’s first album in 1997. I always think of this song when I’m stuck on the 401.
