Green Day announces new material
Yup. Missed this one on Tuesday. The band has 3 albums coming out (Uno, Dos, and Tre, respectively), and the first single from September’s Uno will see daylight (sound can see light?) on July 16th.
Pete Doherty back in rehab
Pete Doherty has a drug problem?! Totally missed that. Earlier this week, the singer flew to Thailand to enter a drug rehab facility – dropping off Glasgow’s T in the Park festival for the second consecutive year. Bummer.
New Gallows Album details
Gallows released new artwork and a track from their upcoming new eponymous album on Monday. It’s their first album without singer Frank Carter (now in Pure Love) and with singer Wade McNeil (formerly of AlexisonFire), and it will please metal fans.

On Wednesday, Ringo quashed this by telling NME that neither of his sons were interested in the project. No Starkey drummer? No Beatles tribute band.
The Kerrang Awards
Like the harder side of rock music? The mag that specializes in all things heavy held their annual award show on June 7 (totally missed it). Get yourself up to speed on the heavyweight bands in metal today by looking over this list.
