Bloc Party Debut 7 New Songs in Glasgow
After confusing us all with will-they-or-won’t-they-break-up rumours of the past year, Bloc Party has totally redeemed themselves! They played 7 (seven!) new songs at a show in Glasgow last night. Here’s Team A:

George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley are getting the band back together for one more show. No dates are planned yet – but one of the biggest pop bands ever will reunite for one show to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of their first hit – Young Guns (Go For It!).

Pearl Jam’s Financial “Manager” charged
Those are air-quotes… A former financial manager for Pearl Jam has been accused of stealing $380,000 from the band between 2006 and 2010.
Rickey Charles Goodrich was chief financial officer with Curtis Inc – and was fired from the company in 2010.

Reading Rainbow returns as iPad app
The legendary children’s show was taken off the air in 2009 – with almost everyone in the media industry (although complimentary) saying that after 21 seasons(!), Reading Rainbow was no longer relevant. But Levar Burton and show co-producer Mark Wolfe have resurrected the Reading Rainbow brand as an iPad app, and a brand new educational software startup.
