Conan O’Brien Visits Chicago School to Write Blues Songs with Little Kids

When thinking of the great Blues artists of all-time, one thinks of people such as Son House, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf…and Conan O’Brien??? On a recent stop in Chicago (a city with a storied Blues history) everyone’s favourite lanky, red-headed, late-night talk-show host stopped by an elementary school to help some 7 year-old kids write some blues tunes about the real problems in their lives (via thedailyswarm.com).

Remember how tough being 7 was? All you could think about was “wait until I’m a teenager, then everything will go smoothly”. Watch Conan as he chills with the little kids and writes songs that deal with tough kid problems like: ‘my sister stole my teddy bear’, ‘my brother threw a ball at my neck’, and ‘my mom won’t let me eat chocolate on Wednesdays’. Oh, and since I had never heard of Edemame before, I looked it up and it turns out it’s the preparation of immature soybeans in the pod. Yum? Also, watch for Conan’s Seinfeld impression and the giant Conan bobblehead onstage at the end of the clip. Enjoy this funny vid:
