Silverchair’s Daniel Johns Writes Music/Lyrics for New Film

The last musical output from Silverchair singer/songwriter Daniel Johns was the Australian band’s 2007 album Young Modern. When Silverchair was put into “indefinite hibernation” in May of 2011, the talented Johns was free to pursue other projects. It was announced recently (via chairpage.com) that his next work will be writing original music and lyrics for a short film entitled My Mind’s Own Melody. The film, being called a “cinematic modern musical”, will screen in selected international cities this summer with a full-length feature version of the film scheduled for production next year.
