Listen! Childish Gambino featuring Beck – Silk Pillow
As I’ve noted before, some critics think Childish Gambino (actor Donald Glover from 30 Rock and Community) is an over privileged entertainer who shouldn’t be rapping just to pass time. He’s actually got some talent and lyrically reminds me of an awkward, early days Kanye West – talent, but needs some albums to fine tune the talent. Maybe this will help his cred: he has recruited Beck to rap on his latest track, Silk Pillow. Beck raps like it’s 1999 and his excellent Midnite Vultures album, and makes me wish he would come out with another album (rather than just be the answer to lame trivia quizzes).
