This Will Probably Never Happen: The Sons of the Beatles to Form a Band?

This rumour will have people worldwide drooling (or shaking their head – or both, if they’re talented) – Paul McCartney’s son James has told the BBC that he and some of the sons of the other Beatles have talked about forming their own band (via NME). We’ve seen lots of second generation artists, but I don’t know if there’s even been a complete band of offspring, especially not as big as the Beatles. As you might know, John and Yoko’s son, Sean, has recorded several albums, and Paul’s son James has a couple albums to his name. Ringo’s son Zak Starkey has drummed with The Who and Oasis, and George’s son Dhani Harrison also has some musical appearances under his belt. Will it happen? Very unlikely. If there’s a big pot of money offered to them? Wait – they are already rich!

Speaking to the BBC, James McCartney said “I don’t think it’s something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason [drummer and one of Starr’s other sons] would want to do it. I’d be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I’d be happy to do it.”
