New iPhone App Lets Your Find Indie Record and Music Stores

Great news for “brick and mortar” record shops – you can use glass and other materials to build your stores! there is a new, GPS-based iPhone and Android app that will let people find you (via The Vinyl District). This free app from The Vinyl District will give you directions to indie record shops, and let you ‘Check in’ on Facebook, Twitter, and Four Square, so your stalkers never be more than one step behind you.

You can even provide content to the app itself, by letting people know that a store has opened/closed, or moved. I am using the app right now to direct people to my flat, which is called “Free Radiohead Vinyl Warehouse”.
