Radiohead to Release 2 New Songs on Dec. 19

Christmas has come early for Radiohead fans. Who said blackmailing Thom Yorke wouldn’t get me what I wanted? 2 songs that have been played live before and both featured on the Live From The Basement: The King of Limbs recording (out in time for Christmas) are reportedly going to be out as full studio versions as well (via At Ease).

The songs, The Daily Mail and Staircase, were both recorded during The King of Limbs sessions, but they did not make it to the studio album. Amazon has the tracks up for purchase as well as some cover art. Anyone else think The King of Limbs would’ve been great with the original 8 songs, plus the Supercollider/Butcher single and the new single all on one disc?

Karen O is Off the Market

Much to the chagrin of the gentlemen who are saying no no no, Karen O, the lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has gotten married over the weekend (via Spinner). Given how bizarre her concerts can be, who bets the wedding was a bit of a freak show? Duct tape wedding dress? Eyeball wedding cake? Seems natural to me! Karen O wed her longtime boyfriend, Barnaby Clay, who sounds like a Texas Oil tycoon or ruler or the Wild West.

Beatles and Apple: New iTunes Commercial and free Yellow Submarine Book

Now that the Beatles and Apple have ended their long time feud, they are complimenting each other well (much like this prom dress I am wearing compliments me, despite what my Shrink says). There is a cool new commercial for iTunes that uses the Beatles iconic album covers. There is also a free book for iOS devices called The Beatles Yellow Submarine book for kids, but I won’t judge you if you read it (via Slash Gear).
