Gigantic Wall of Speakers….That Doesn’t Play Music

I would love to have a gigantic wall of speakers, to absolutely pound my music through. Well, now it exists…unfortunately as an art project (via Dvice).

“Benoît Maubrey’s Speakers Wall uses 1,000 HiFi speakers flanking a section of the original Berlin wall. Rather than playing music through this awesome looking rig, Maubrey connected the speakers and amplifiers to a phone line, so anyone could call up and have their message beamed live through the wall. With the lo-fi telephone sound booming from the speakers into the room, the whole thing takes on an intimidating big-brother effect that jibes well with the Berlin Wall theme.”

I’m going to crank call it and sing, so that the speakers can hear some horrible music at least. If you want to check out the exhibit, you will need a time machine – it closed on October 2. My horrible singing has been spared.
