Follow The xx’s Blog About Their New Album Recording

The xx are recording their second album, and you can watch and read all about it (via NME). You haven’t STARTED the album yet?! I thought it would be done by now! The xx famous for having one of their songs as my ringtone won the 2010 Mercury Prize in the UK, and were not sure if they would record a second album. They have set up a blog at xx-xx.co.uk where you can follow the action.

“The band wrote: “We have started recording our second album! We have also started this blog where we will post our inspirations and pictures and favourite songs.”

“Since the band completed promotional duties for their debut LP, percussion maker Jamie Smith has busied himself with production and remixing, including reworking recently deceased rapper Gil-Scott Heron’s final album ‘I’m New Here’ and creating remixes for the likes of Radiohead, Florence And The Machine and Adele.”
