Make Your Ears Happy: The Decemberists – E. Watson

The Decemberists have had quite the year. They surprised more than a few people with a) The direction of their early 2011 release, The King is Dead, and b) A Number 1 Billboard album.

We also learned that keyboardist Jenny Conlee had cancer. In great news, singer Colin Meloy announced last week that the cancer is in remission. Hoorah!

Now, a companion piece EP to their most recent LP is set to come out. The EP is called Long Live the King, and you can listen to the first song over at Paste. Long Live the King is out on November 1.
