A Retirement from Rap – We’ve Heard This Before!

Jay-Z retired. And unretired. 50 Cent vowed to retire if his album was outsold by Kanye West. Kanye destroyed 50 Cent in first week sales, and well, 50 Cent did not retire. He should have, as he has turned out nothing of value since (and previously – Zing!), while Kanye went on to release My Beautiful Dark Twisted to critical acclaim.

The latest retirement claim is from Lil’ Wayne. Once he hits the big 3-0, he is going to contemplate it, if only for his children. We will miss your awesome album covers, Wayne.
